Bandai village residents have asked the authorities to upgrade the primary school to a middle school, according to The Morning Post.
The village, with over a thousand households, is located in the Khwazakhela tehsil of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Swat district.
Locals said the nearest middle schools are two to four kilometres away, which makes it difficult for children to continue their studies. Mostly the kids from the poor families drop out after primary school.
The local member of the provincial assembly said he had requested for education development funds for the area.
